On December 24, Representative McCollum visited a site in Xieng Khouang province where the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is clearing unexploded ordnance from the Vietnam War era. Representative McCollum is a leading proponent in the U.S. Congress of clearance of UXO in Laos. The United States government funds UXO clearance by MAG, UXO Lao, and other groups.
