On December 24, Representative McCollum visited the Xieng Khouang provincial hospital in Phonesavanh, accompanied by representatives of the non-governmental organization World Education/Consortium. The hospital, which has received U.S. government assistance, treats many patients who have been injured by unexploded ordnance. Representative McCollum met with several UXO victims at the hospital.
