On December 23, Representative McCollum visited the Phone Ngam School near Phonesavanh in in Xieng Khouang province to observe educational programs on the dangers of unexploded ordnance (UXO). Students presented a play, a puppet show, and songs demonstrating how to avoid UXO accidents.
