American Citizen Town Hall Meeting | Ambassador Ravic Huso addresses the American community at his residence. |
On Tuesday, September 25, Ambassador Huso hosted an American Citizen Town Hall Meeting at his residence in Vientiane. A lively group of approximately 35 expatriate Americans took the opportunity to meet Ambassador Huso and ask questions about U.S. foreign policy in Laos and discuss issues related to living and working here. Embassy security and consular officers provided information on safety and security issues and discussed the importance of registering with the American Citizen Services Unit of the Consular Section. The resident representative of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) also provided an update on Avian Influenza and answered questions about medical issues in Laos.
