Embassy IRO Boosts Lao Students’ Internet Search Skills (Sept. 15, 2004)

More than 40 Lao students attended a Post-sponsored program on how to search the Internet for information

More than 40 Lao students attended a Post-sponsored program on how to search the Internet for information, especially information on the United States. The program was conducted by Bangkok-based Information Resource Officer Luella Davis and held at the American Center (Vientiane’s American Corner). Davis introduced the students to online databases and search engines, and coached each in how to use them to find the information they seek. She also distributed a list of key sites with information about the United States that prominently featured the IIP websites.
