Mr. Nervig Phil Consular Officer talks about American Society and Culture

Consular Officer Phil Nervig opened a new round of talks on American society and culture at the U.S. Embassy's American Center with a session on American Popular Music. Mr. Nerving focused on Country Music, especially that of singer Johnnie Cash, playing examples and discussing the lyrics, which he passed out to the 30 students in the audience. This series of talks by Embassy officers on the first Wednesday of every month, organized by the Public Affairs Section, is designed to provide information about American life and culture, and to give students a chance to ask questions and discuss issues in English in an information setting.
