Laos Students Enjoyed American Film

Lao Students learned About American Culture and Society

More than 20 Lao students at the Lao-American College attended the movie showing of “Back to School” at the American Center on October 12.

The movie was timed to coincide with the start of a new term at the Lao American College, and is part of the American Center's weekly program. The movie tells the story of millionaire businessman Thornton Melon who is upset when his son Jason announces that he is dropping out of college. Thornton insists that college is the best thing he never had for himself, and to prove his point, he enrolls in school along with his son.
