U.S. Ambassador Patricia Haslach Visits UXO and JFA Sites in Southern Laos

During U.S Ambassador Patricia Haslach toured southern Laos on May 24-26, Ambassador Haslach visited the office of UXO Lao, and was briefed on field operations to find and remove unexploded ordnance, as well as recent upgrades to office procedures and administrative changes aimed at creating higher unit efficiency. She also visited Joint Pacific Accounting Command (JPAC) personnel in the field, stopping at two remote sites where American military and civilian teams are searching for the remains of American air crews lost during the Indochina War using painstaking archeological methods. |May 24-26, 2006|
