Lao Students Learn About Creative Thinking and Creative Writing

American writer Paul Shepherd presented a talk on creative writing at the Embassy’s American Center on May 12. The program, organized by the Embassy’s Public Diplomacy Section and attended by 25 college students, focused not only on writing, but also on the creative thinking needed to create something new. Shepherd shared his experiences in writing a book that was published last year under the title “More Like Not Running Away,” and, using examples from his own experiences, showed students how to come up with new ideas using their imagination to think and write creatively.
