American Center Promotes Children’s Day

Children enjoyed the movie showing

To celebrate Lao Children’s Day, the IRC showed the movie “Babe: Pig in the City” to 30 children and their teachers at the Lao American Center in Vientiane. The animated movie recounts the adventures of Babe, the talking pig, when he and Mrs. Hoggett (Magda Szubanski) must head into the city to try to save the farm after Farmer Hoggett (James Cromwell) is injured.  After the movie, the American Center staff and the IRC Director asked the children to write down and describe in English the animals they had seen in the movie.
