Movie Showing Educates Lao About
American Society

 Audiences at the Theater
Over 1200 people attended the showing of the movie Back to the Future arranged by the Public Affairs Section in the Lao National Cultural Hall as part of the Embassy's events to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the United States and the Lao, P.D.R. This movie, in which Michael J. Fox goes back in time to 1955, the year that diplomatic relations were established, enabled the audience to see through Marty's eyes changes that have taken place in American society over the past 50 years.
