Students at the Faculty of Engineering watch “Apollo 13”

On Friday morning, March 21, 2008 the U.S. Embassy’s Information Resource Center and the Faculty of Engineering’s Library organized a film showing at the Faculty of Engineering, National University of Laos, for another showing of “Apollo 13.” The movie, based on actual events, highlighted the challenges faced by engineers, astronauts, and their families during a crisis situation in space

More than 80 students from the Faculty of Engineering and other departments around the campus attended the movie; many students paid close attention and applauded the astronauts’ safe return to earth.
