- Education: Completion of secondary school plus certificates of completion of courses in electronics, graphic design, or computers.
- Prior Work Experience: Three to five years of experience in audio-visual systems and computing. Experience in installation and maintenance of a variety of audio-visual receivers and equipment.
- Language Proficiency: Good knowledge of spoken and written English and ability to
read and understand technical instruction manuals for audio-visual equipment.
- Knowledge: Technical knowledge of audio-visual equipment; thorough understanding of tools and materials used in repairing audio-visual equipment; methods of installing, maintaining, and operating audio-visual equipment; knowledge of Public Affairs programs and objectives. Excellent knowledge of internet browsing and downloading. Broad knowledge of American and local media desirable. Some knowledge of media marketing and public relations techniques, popular Lao cultural and entertainment styles and preferences, and local media and technical capabilities. Knowledge of digital photography and basic photo editing programs.
5. Skills and Abilities: Able to install and maintain telecommunications, audio-visual, reproduction, editing, and sound equipment. Able to use HTML and Microsoft Office. Ability to use both Mac and PC systems. Familiarity with basic graphic design programs preferred
