National University of Laos (NOUL) Hosts U.S. Space Exhibit

On August 28, the U.S. Embassy in Vientiane, in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering, National University of Laos, arranged an exhibit to mark the 40th anniversary of the first man landing on the moon, as well as other milestones of the U.S. space program. To encourage a new generation of Lao engineers, the event was held at the Faculty of Engineering, National University of Laos (Sokpaluang Campus).
H.E. Professor Dr. Bountiem Phissamay, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, presided over the opening ceremony and spoke about his professional experiences with satellite technology. U.S. Ambassador Ravic R. Huso also participated in the opening ceremony and toured the exhibit. Additional participants included Associate Professor Dr. Soukkhongseng Sainaleuth, President of NUOL, and Associate Professor Boulin Soysouvanh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, NUOL. The presentation included videos and posters about the moon landing, space exploration, and space technology space, as well as an exhibition about space technology, and activities and games for students.
